Sharing this from my journal for Day 1 - Identity, Confidence & Courage. I woke up at 6:20 am. 1st thing I remembered was "It's the day 1". So, I picked up my phone and I prayed the prayers. They blessed me so much. I didn't do anything extra, I just ran through the prayers.
Then I went downstairs to sort out food for the day. As I went downstairs I felt the need to revisit the prayers. I made a mental note of that. As I started packing the kids' lunch, a worship song started sneaking into my heart. "In the crushing, in the pressing, you are making new wine. . ." I immediately remembered how we are supposed to journal our experience. So I noted the song. Then I heard the holyspirt say that, that's my song to note for this portion of the challenge. And that when I go back to repeat the 6:00am prayers, I should work with that song and pray a bit more.
I decided to go brush, bathe and dress up for the day, but before I did that, I went to check the lyrics of the song New Wine by Hillsong, it blessed me so much. As I brushed, my daughter came to ask for her "good morning hug". Told her to wait. I quickly told her to take my phone and pray the 6am prayers for herself while she waits for me to be done brushing.
Throughout my time in the washroom I engaged the NEW WINE song. It was such a beautiful experience I was praying in tongues like never before. I repeated the parts I remembered and prayed the words for my husband and children too.
While in the shower I engaged the song even more, and then all of a sudden, I remembered the story of Jesus at the wedding, the miracle of the wine and the statement of the party chief when he tasted the new wine, many things dropped in my heart here. And that became my tent to pray on for my children, myself, my husband, and all my family members at large.
John 2:9&10 - "9 and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10 and said, “Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."
THANK YOU JESUS!! THANK YOU FOR THIS. Such a beautiful experience can only come from you.
I am yet to complete the challenge though (will be going back to it this week)
